Stress Management for Modern Life

Stress is the greatest cause of most problems. When your mind is stressed you can not focus. A stressed mind is not clear and generally does not make wise choices. At some time in their lives most people would benefit from the services of a qualified counsellor. A counsellor is trained to understand how the human mind works and is therefore in a position to assist normal people who are having emotional difficulties. I will encourage you to seek the underlying causes of the present situational problems. While empathy and understanding are paramount in all sessions, humour does pay a part in recovery! Self-pity is dealt with gently, with empathy and a little self-indulgent sympathy. I do not wish clients to waste their time and money on putting heavy emphasis on self-pity. I will encourage you to take responsibility for your own choice of emotions. During counselling, one benefits most by interpreting "responsibility" as the ability to respond proactively as opposed to reactively. As a team we work comfortably together to achieve the desired results. I will encourage you to grow through tough life experiences to the betterment of self and others. We are all setting an example for someone in life! I am results-orientated not purely dollar-motivated. If you are not committed 100% to success in your life, I am not the therapist for you.
