Elizabeth Rae is an Internationally successful Professional and Executive Coach; Business Coach; Stress Management and Personal Development Consultant; and Clinical Therapist. Last year she spoke Internationally on Stress Management, Self-Awareness and Relaxation Techniques.
Elizabeth has been a successful Coach, Consultant and Clinical Therapist in London, Belgium, Paris and U.S.A.
Elizabeth has spent many years studying Meditation Methods with Buddhist Nuns and Monks. 2004 she incorporated lecturing in different Meditation Methods and Self-Awareness to audiences in London, Belgium and Paris.
Elizabeth was the first person to introduce Relaxation Techniques to Gyms in South East Queensland, namely The Rec Club, Sanctuary Cove. These techniques included all forms of Meditation ranging from Walking Meditation to Visualisation Meditation.
Elizabeth draws on an abundance of life experiences. She has achieved success in the private sector and corporate world. Her employment background provides a diverse range of experiences in government, marketing, finance, and dealing with people from all walks of life.
Her experience includes working within the Prime Minister’s Office, and dealing with the Royal Family and other visiting overseas dignitaries. She also established the Elizabeth Rae Galleries in Canberra in which she specifically promoted Pro Hart’s works both around the nation and in the United States.
Elizabeth completed several units of study through the Securities Institute of Australia while working as a financial consultant. She won an overseas trip and many other awards for her ability to educate and provide clients with sound savings and investment advice. This advice was backed up by the belief that integrity in all issues is essential and that the client’s best interest is paramount.
This diverse background has provided an indirect path to fulfilling her ambition to guide, encourage, and motivate others to happier and more fulfilling lifestyles.
Elizabeth says that “caring for the mind leads to a better sense of self-belief and self- worth while enhancing and improving mental focus and clarity, whether at work, home or socially.” This also leads to an improvement in health and flows on to positively affect other sociological and physiological factors.
Elizabeth has helped and befriended many to reach their goals, including high-ranking executives in Australia and overseas. She has also worked with some of Australia’s elite Gold and Silver Medal Olympic athletes.
Elizabeth believes a combination of relaxation and guided meditation techniques, some of which she learned from Buddhist nuns and monks, help release subconscious barriers to achieving success. She combines her knowledge and belief together with what she has learned, in her consultation and therapy sessions. Elizabeth is thrilled at the success attained by friends and clients through using the combination of techniques she advocates. People should accept the reality that abundance of all life’s joys, increased productivity, wisdom, integrity and inner peace is a choice. One can take that step which will in turn make one’s life more fulfilled.
Elizabeth’s motivation is to help people to help themselves to a more successful, productive, happy, loving life. She asks “what is success to you?” She firmly believes “Success is a choice.” You can have abundance of all things; ie. energy, health, money, friends, contentment, peace of mind and self-respect!!!

In recent years Elizabeth formalized her many years of experience undertaking studies to gain her Diploma in Professional Counselling. She has majors in
- Contemporary Issues in Work Place Counselling;
- Career Guidance;
- Child Development and Effective Parenting.
Techniques used in most cases are gained from the knowledge she learned in Canberra over 25 years ago on Stress Management and Personal Development.
Elizabeth was a guest speaker at the International Conference on Professional Abuse in 1999 held at the University of Queensland.
Elizabeth strongly believes that mental health is of the highest priority in today’s society. The latest statistics indicate that in Queensland alone, the government spent over $8.6 million in 1999/2000 for work-related mental health payments. This is a dramatic increase from the $2.6 million spent in 1992/1993.
2009 the cost was $4.3 billion.

Elizabeth’s goal is to help people reach success. She believed this can be achieved with as little stress as possible, combined with integrity, both professionally and most importantly, personally.

In her role as clinical stress therapist, professional executive coach, meditation and relaxation teacher, Elizabeth says there is nothing worse than an ego out of control.
“You have to love yourself, not worry about who you’ve met or what other people are doing,” says Elizabeth.
“Because that’s all just part of life.
“You don’t have to kick and push and shove – if you are at peace with yourself, that door will open, and there’s enough to go around for everyone to share in.”
She moved through various jobs, mostly in the highly strung world of finance.
“I first became involved with the stock market when I was 15.
“I befriended a man up the road, who was severely disabled in body but extremely intelligent and alert in mind.
“It was through him that I became interested in finance.
“I was lucky. He taught me a lot and that led to my first investment of five pounds.”
“I’ve since lost a lot of money on the stock market, but he allowed me to understand it and to eventually move into the financial area.”
But that was not before a stint as a secretary with the Prime Minister’s department, in the ceremonial and hospitality division, which, in 1969, threw a garden party for the visiting royals.
While working in Canberra, Elizabeth was asked to promote artist Pro Hart and open a gallery in the capital.
This project also brought her into contact with a man who was to become a close friend over the years, Guy Boyd, and his brother Max.
It was during these years in the art world, until the financial crash of 1987, that Elizabeth gathered some life-changing experiences for her personal history book.
The famous artist also made sure Elizabeth was in tow, when he took an exhibition to Darwin with the Boyd brothers, and stopped in on Lindy Chamberlain, at Berrima Jail.
“It was an emotionally changing experience,” says Elizabeth.
“I’ve lost a few friends over it, but to this day I believe in her innocence.
“I sat on a bench in the yard with her and told her that I prayed for her to be out by Christmas.
“And she told me that each time she had been kept back in jail, it was because someone else in there needed her.”
“She is someone I can say I feel proud to know.”
She says she came to know herself better than ever between the years 1991 to 1995.
It was a time Elizabeth describes as being one of the darkest of her life, but also the most profound.
She took legal action against a major finance institution, and during proceedings, turned to a life-long interest in meditation and relaxation to save her sanity.
The experience also helped her understand the pain others, who now come to her for solace and advice, to through.
“It gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of being validated,” says Elizabeth.
“Even though we try to live by our integrity, we can still be pushed under.”
In her endeavours to help others, Elizabeth formalised her life experiences by undertaking studies in clinical stress management, meditation, relaxation, career guidance, child development and effective parenting.
“My dream has come true to help other people,” says Elizabeth.
In 2001 she joined the professional line-up at Sanctuary Cove’s Recreation Club, running classes in relaxation and meditation, on Tuesday morning and Thursday night.
She says a combination of guided meditation and relaxation techniques help release subconscious barriers to success.
“I am thrilled with how these techniques work and how they help people understand that productivity with wisdom, integrity, and inner peace, is a choice which people can make in their lives and workplace,” explains Elizabeth.
